CAA to certify all electric Pipistrel

LONDON - The all-electric Pipistrel Velis is certified by the UK CAA. A small airline plans to operate passenger flights on the type.

"Touring the country, performing experience flights for the public and training future pilots to fly fully electric aircraft": Nebo Air is eager to take its Pipistrel Velis Electro to service after CAA cleared the type for the UK.

Nebo Air also plans one-passenger airline services between London and the Midlands. The electric plane with its 24.8 kWh battery back was cerfified by EASA in June 2020.
