US approves Aer Lingus Manchester service

MANCHESTER - Aer Lingus has received tentative US DoT approval for nonstop flights to the United States out of Manchester.

The US Department of Transportation (DoT) granted its conditional approval to Aer Lingus Friday while a UK approval and AOC remain pending. Aer Lingus confirmed plans in 2020 to serve routes to New York, Boston and Orlando from the UK and secured slots in Manchester.

The IAG airline will base two Airbus A321LR and two A330-300 in Manchester for the flights.
