LONDON - Continued joint strikes of the US and Israel on targets in Iran and Iranian counter attacks on Gulf neighbours give European carriers limited visibility for flights into the region: British Airways puts all scheduled Dubai services on hold for the remainder of March - and discontinues its flights to Abu Dhabi for the time being.

British Airways curbs services into the Middle East. "Due to the continuing uncertainty of the situation in the Middle East and airspace instability, we’ve had to temporarily reduce our flying schedule in the region," the airline said.

Service suspensions affect several routes in the network. "We’ve cancelled all flights to and from Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Tel Aviv until later this month and to and from Abu Dhabi until later this year," British Airways said.

The airline will continue repatriation flights. "We have limited seats remaining on our repatriation flights from Oman (Muscat) to London Heathrow on 11 and 12 March for customers with an existing booking," according to an update. "Following these dates, the flights will pause due to reduced demand but will be kept under continuous review."
