Boeing 777F goes up in flames

SHANGHAI - Shanghai-Pudong airport temporarily suspended operations after an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 777F caught fire in parking position on Tuesday.

Ethiopian Airlines has only nine Boeing 777F left. ET-ARH went up in flames during loading at Shanghai-Pudong airport Tuesday. The six year old freighter jet had previously completed a flight from Brussels and is damagend beyond repair.

"Ground staff and crew are well," the airline said statement. The cause of the fire is now under investigation by local authorities. The jet was to haul cargo from Shanghai to São Paulo.
