Emirates introduces new B777 business class product

BERLIN - Emirates will introduce a new business class product on all new Boeing 777-300ER delivered from November 2016. The seat design in grey leather was inspired by Mercedes S-Class interiors, Emirates said during a revealing ceremony at the tourism conference ITB in Berlin.

The new seat, developed by supplier BE Aerospace, converts into a flat bed and offers a 23 inch IFC screen with HDMI smartphone connectivity. The pods provide convenient privacy without isolating the passenger from the surrounding cabin environment.

Emirates will maintain its 42 seat 2-3-2 layout on the B777 fleet - not eliminating the unpopular middle seats with the update. This means not all travellers will enjoy direct aisle access during flight.

The 777 is the largest fleet at Emirates. While the new product will enhance passenger experiece on all new 777-300ER joining Emirates from November, the airline does not intend to retrofit its current fleet.
