JetBlue mulls Heathrow flights by August

LONDON - JetBlue Airways is turning the Airbus A321LR into an "A321LHR" - the airline secured slot ar London Heathrow Airport.

JetBlue Airways flies to Heathrow. According to slot coordinator ACL data, the airline has initially secured 14 weekly LHR slots from the week beginning August 02 and as many as 28 slots per week by September 20. "FlightGlobal" reported first.

The flights will depart from New York JFK on A321LR aircraft. The airline ordered 13 A321LRs and 13 A321XLRs to expand into intercontinental markets.

The A321LRs will be equipped with 24 premium seats. JetBlue is said to have specified a low-density cabin layout with only 160 seats.
