LONDON - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson revokes the mask mandade in public transport. British Airways will not rush things.

Britain is about to ditch masks. Prime Minister Boris Johnson scraps the mask mandate and several other Covid-19 restrictions by Jan 27.

British Airways still wants to wait and see. "We have no immediate plans to change our mask policy, but keep our policies under review and continue to take advice and guidance from all the appropriate authorities," a BA spokesperson told aero.uk. "The safety and security of our customers and colleagues is always our priority."

Ryanair and Easyjet have responded to a request for a statement so far. Either way, the end of the mask requirement will only affect domestic flights. Most countries continue to require wearing masks for all passengers on incoming flights to prevent infections on board.
