Wizz Air flags Luton expansion

LUTON - More than 70 million passengers have now travelled with Wizz Air from London Luton Airport. The airline will increase its presence at the airport even further.

The milestone 70 millionth passenger was welcomed on a flight from Tirana to London Luton Airport mid-February, Luton Airport said.

Wizz Air is the largest carrier at London Luton Airport, with 11 aircraft. The airline operates 50 return flights per day from the airport, to 60 destinations in 28 countries.

Luton attracted 16.2 million passengers in 2023. Wizz Air announced in July 2023 that London Luton Airport would become an all A321neo base by 2025 to accelerate growth.
