British Airways A380 aborts transatlantic flight

LONDON - A British Airways A380 aborted a transatlantic flight shortly after take-off upon an engine oil pressure warning.

London-Heathrow, November 6 2024: British Airways 207 takes off to Miami. During early climb, the systems indicate an oil pressure problem in one of the four engines.

The pilots stop the climb and divert to a spot over the English Channel to circle and burn off fuel before returning to Heathrow 3:20 hours after departure.
