DUBAI - Flydubai will support future growth with a stream of pilots from an ab initio programme of its own. The scheme is run "in partnership with international overseas flight training partners," the airline said.

Flydubai launches a Multi-Pilot License (MPL) cadet programme. The course setup includes ground school training, simulator and flight instruction, line training and final integration into the carrier’s flight operations, Flydubai said.

Candidates from age 17 are required to meet a number of eligibility requirements and will undergo "rigorous screening tests online and on-site, including a series of aptitude, cognitive and psychomotor assessments during the initial screening phase" as well as medical clearances.

A first batch of cadets is expected to begin training in the last quarter of 2025, "in partership with international flight training partners".

Flydubai operates fleet of Boeing 737NG and 737 MAX aircraft serving an expanding network of more than 130 destinations. With more than 125 Boeing 737 MAX and 30 787 on order the airline plans for dynamic growth.
