BIRMINGHAM - British regional airline Flybe finds itself under administration less than one year after its relaunch. All flights to and from the UK are cancelled, Flybe confirmed in a statement Saturday. The airline does not expect to resume services any time soon. Passengers were urged to not to go to the airports.

Flybe suspends all flight operations. "Flybe has now ceased trading," the company confirmed via Twitter. "All Flybe flights to and from the UK are cancelled and will not be rescheduled."

Flybe relaunched in April 2022 from a prior bankruptcy after financial investor Cyrus capital took over assets to form a new airline with a wet-leased fleet.

Citing a "successful summer season" the airline expanded its Bombardier Q400 fleet and winter schedule. Flybe offered additional routes and more dense frequencies from London-Heathrow to Newquay, Birmingham to Belfast City, Belfast City to East Midlands and Southampton to Glasgow. The airline also flew to Amsterdam and Geneva.
