Virgin Atlantic joins SkyTeam

LONDON - Virgin Atlantic will become a SkyTeam member by March 2 as the only UK outpost of the alliance.

Virgin Atlantic will achieve SkyTeam membership status by March 2, "The Points Guy" reports. The airline annouced joining SkyTeam in September 2022 with sponsorship of its 49 percent shareholder Delta Air Lines.

The integration is expected to go smoothly as Virgin Atlantic is already part of a transatlantic joint venture that includes SkyTeam anchors Delta and and Air France-KLM.
